Perguruan Seni Silat Sendeng Teratai's leadership philosophy can be understood through three Competency Dimensions that place focus on the competencies of coaches and are synced to three key values, that is, Commitment to the Learner, Commitment to Pencak Silat, and Commitment to the Community. In each category, a list of competencies highlights the competencies the leaders within the perguruan has developed at Sendeng Teratai.

Professional Practice positions the Coaches and Team Managers as a professional with the ethos and ethics expected of a silat Coach and Team Manager.
