Perguruan Seni Silat Sendeng Teratai is a martial arts group based in Singapore. Sendeng Teratai traces its origins to a revered form of Sulawesi-specific silat, a traditional martial art that has been passed down through generations. It is currently based in Singapore. Over the years, it has undergone multiple layers of evolution, culminating in a rebranding in 2024 that marked a significant shift in leadership, direction, and style within the perguruan. The name 'Teratai,' meaning lotus, was chosen for its profound philosophical significance in Malay culture. The perguruan is currently registered as Sanggar Sendeng Teratai (T25SS0062F) under Singapore's Registry of Societies. 

The lotus symbolises enlightenment, self-regeneration, and the pursuit of divinity in life. Its unique morphology, growing from muddy waters to blooming in pristine beauty, reflects the human soul's journey towards the sublime and embodies the ideal of Budi, which encompasses intelligence and reason. This transformation signifies not only a physical and martial evolution but also a spiritual and cultural renaissance.
